Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, will open the Global Insight Summit with an address to attendees from the film and television community and the public.

The entertainment industry offers a vehicle to dramatically improve public awareness of critical global issues and to highlight the role of the United Nations in promoting peace and security, ensuring development, and protecting fundamental human rights around the world. As the world's only truly universal instrument, the UN has carried out its work for more than six decades in every corner of the globe.
